Christine and Fred's last day in British Columbia was spent sightseeing and shopping, the finale that all good holidays deserve! Well, at least that is my and possibly Christine's opinion but fortunately for us Fred and Rick were pretty compliant too. We first returned to Gastown to explore the stores a little more in-depth and afterwards we went for a drive along the beaches (one seen here) from Kitsilano to the University of British Columbia. Rick and I have been to UBC on several occasions before but today with Christine and Fred was the first time we had seen it so busy. We also managed to find parts of it never seen by us before and even somehow succeeded in getting "a little" lost. Once we became "untangled", we headed into Kitsilano to Aphrodite's, one of our favourite eateries for lunch.

Karley and Makai joined us there and we all enjoyed some really delicious food and a very entertaining baby. Once we were finished we headed farther up 4th Avenue, one of Kitsilano's major arteries, to walk. Karley and Makai went home for his nap while we wandered around browsing through the many shops and enjoying the great weather. We basked in cloudless sunshine and warm, 20C+, temperatures all day.

Initially we had planned to go out for dinner but while walking around in Kitsilano, we opted to have Christine and Fred's farewell dinner at home. We shopped for fresh salad greens, lingcod for the barbecue and a stick of fresh organic sourdough bread. Once we arrived home and after Christine packed, we had a late leisurely dinner while we watched television and it wasn't long before we were all tired and ready for bed.
