Like the bird in this picture, we too decided to hit the road and run back to Catalina RV Park where it is quieter and we can swim at any hour of the day in the hot springs pools. Since arriving at Emerald Desert RV Park, neither of us has had a good night’s sleep and last night while we listened to the roar of traffic on Interstate 10, we yearned for the peacefulness across the highway. br>There was a time when we slept with no problem at RV parks located beside railroad tracks and freeways, but we are officially spoiled now by the solitude of the desert. Besides, for the past couple of days we have been “roadrunning” anyway so that Rick could look after the putting green therefore it made more sense to move back, RV and all two days early. br>Even though at Emerald Desert we had a beautiful, paved level site with 50 AMP service and perfectly manicured lawns and gardens, the “rustic-ness” of Catalina was beckoning. We may have to juggle the appliances we use at one time with our 30 AMP service and it takes us longer to level our rig on its sandy site but it’s nice to be back at Catalina, to have telephone access and to be in familiar territory again. br>We found this roadrunner posing for us as we walked around the Emerald Desert Park yesterday. br>
