….. than a Popsicle, an Elmo sprinkler and sunshine? Yesterday after his nap, Makai enjoyed all three and was in his glory. Lately with his grandpa trying to assemble two motorcycles, we use any tactic we can think of to distract the little guy so Grandpa can work in peace and not have to hunt for parts that suddenly grow legs. On Saturday there is a motorcycle show at the Mission Springs Brew Pub where we are hoping to sell our old bike so it is imperative that it is ready for then.

This morning, Karley and the kids joined us for a ferry ride and a visit to Fort Langley. When Rick and I were there two weeks ago with the Ouellette’s, we discovered a great children’s store where we bought Makai some new shoes. Karley wanted to go there with us to find another pair in a different colour and with the weather being so nice, today seemed like a perfect day to go. We enjoyed walking around the village and had a good lunch at one of the cafés before driving back home.

Today is my sister’s birthday. Last Friday she and Fred purchased a fifth wheel trailer and truck so that they too could do some traveling. Though retirement isn’t on their agenda quite yet, exploring some of Canada and the US will be an easier task with their own RV. Hopefully we will be able to have some road trips together sometime in the future. Happy Birthday, Christine!
