Visiting The Grand Canyon |

After yesterday’s rain, you can imagine how happy we were to wake up to a beautiful, clear blue sky and radiant sunshine this morning. For staying in a Wal-Mart parking lot, we slept really well and with a sunny day to wake up to we knew we would have a great day. From Page, Arizona to Kanab, Utah we only had a short drive (less than two hours) but at least we could clearly see the beautiful scenery as we traveled… unlike yesterday. br>We are staying at the Kanab RV Corral for the next four nights and plan to make the most of this central location. Shortly after we parked the Moho and set up, Rick got the bike out so we could ride to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, about 75 miles south. This morning we went from Arizona to Utah and this afternoon we went back to Arizona and back to Utah once more! br>Everything you have ever read, heard or seen about the Grand Canyon is absolutely true… times 10! There is no question that geographically Arizona is one of the most spectacular states and the Grand Canyon only confirmed what we already knew. Unfortunately as clear as the day was, there was still enough of a haze to impair our photographs. But even if it had been clear, no photograph in the world would be able to capture the sheer splendor of the canyon. It certainly put into perspective how incredible this world is that we are fortunate enough to live in and how little we really are! br>
