A Comedic(?) Break |

This afternoon I spent some more time working on the website. As I have mentioned it is a painstakingly long process, but worth it and along with correcting errors, I am adding links that were missed the first time around. The search engine is working very well, so now you can search for any topic you want and if I have written about it here, you will find it. This evening we went to see George Carlin, the controversial stand-up comedian at the Fantasy Casino. Mr. Carlin has been shocking audiences with his profane humour for many years and that aspect of his humour continues. Though some of his jokes were funny, some were not and if he was looking to offend, there is no question that he succeeded. His topics ranged from sex to politics and though most of the political ones were bang on, there were many other topics that weren’t. Throughout the course of his show we watched as members of the audience steadily vacated the auditorium because they couldn’t handle his dialogue. Having recently seen Howie Mandell in Las Vegas I can say without hesitation that Howie’s show was far superior. I am not offended by the “F” word, however in my opinion had George removed it from his routine; we would have only had a fifteen minute show to entertain us! Oh well, it was a break from our routine, an evening out and a lesson learned; we don’t need to go and see him again. Sorry George! I borrowed this picture of George Carlin from Google Images.
