Well not all of it but every entry, photo and link added to this website from April 7th to July 18th has been restored thanks to Steve, my web dude, (not to be confused with the hosting company that lost the stuff). As luck would have it, because of some changes we’d made in July, Steve had a more recent copy of our site and today he reinstalled it. All the work I had done on old entries after July 18, still has to be redone as do the links I had included in entries from July 18th to date but at least things are there. Whew!
Now that we are official BC residents, today we decided to be tourists and with the wonderful weather we couldn’t have picked a better day. This morning we walked to the Vancouver Lookout to see the city views in the morning on a clear day…spectacular. Then we rode on the Skytrain (just to say we have) to New Westminster where we will officially be residing as of this coming Monday and back. After lunch in Yaletown we walked to False Creek and wandered along the Sea Wall for a while, finally boarding a cute little rainbow coloured Aquabus Ferry. The Mini was in at the Yaletown Mini Service Centre which was on the other side of the inlet and for $2.50 each, it was cheaper to ferry over than to take a cab to pick it up. As tourists we got plenty of exercise while enjoying the sights and the warm, sunny weather!
This evening we walked back to the Lookout to see the city sunset and take more pictures, this time at twilight. You’ll find all the pictures on Flickr. (See link on left!)
