I Wonder Print

Last night it rained through the night while we slept but when we woke up this morning, it had finally stopped. In fact by 9:00 AM it was evident that we would be graced with some blue sky so I thought I would try one more time to get the satellite Internet working thinking that perhaps the clouds had prevented it from getting a clear signal. After 45 minutes, it was obvious that rain wasn't the problem and it was time to find an alternative. We now have dial-up access with a local Internet company which will be useful for getting email however because of the pictures, I will upload my journal at Karley and Ian's.

Rick and I spent most of the day cleaning and re-organizing cupboards and storage compartments and putting together a "Goodwill" donation pile. I cleaned and defrosted the fridge and found some long forgotten goodies to be discarded. By 4:00 PM we felt like we had accomplished a lot and we called it a day. We were joining Ian and Karley for dinner so we got cleaned up and headed to their place, only 15 kms. away from here. After I uploaded some journal entries and pictures we headed to Milestones for a delicious dinner.

Karley and Ian are on vacation next week and going away in the morning, so Rick and I will be cat & house sitting. Having had a fairly restless sleep again last night, we were exhausted, so we ended our evening early and were home by 10:00 PM. We'd had a great day, it remained dry and sunny so when the rain returned on our way back, we had no complaints. I can't help but wonder if we'll still be able to say that after spending a rainy winter here...hmmm...Undecided
