When Jay and Sarah left here on the 9th of January; they were heading north to Vancouver but not before stopping in San Francisco. After a fun, though cooler three days they tried using the coastal Highway 101 however due the excessive rains that the west coast has endured this year, they encountered a closure caused from a mudslide and had to turn back. Once rerouted onto Interstate 5, their side trip cost them 4 hours and they arrived in Eugene, their planned stop well after midnight. The next evening at 7:00, at Karley and Ian’s the pair scoured the Vancouver Sun and found 6 or 7 potential apartments to visit the next day.

On Saturday morning, after a jaunt at the gym, Jay and Sarah made the rounds, seeing one possible new abode after another finding none terribly appealing. However, their final visit produced the perfect loft on the 22nd floor in downtown Vancouver, exactly what they wanted and precisely where they wanted to be for the right price! The apartment came with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dishwasher and all important in-suite washer/dryer and spectacular view. Jay and Sarah’s relationship is purely platonic but they are such great friends, they couldn’t have better roommates. (apartment mates?)

They moved into the apartment on Wednesday, January 18th and are enjoying their location immensely. Though Jay is now living on the west coast he is still working for Richard Robbins International though now he commutes by plane to his appointments. Consequently, he headed to Winnipeg on the 22nd for four nights but he does get to fly home on the weekends…more tomorrow.
