Condo Decisions PDF Print E-mail

Though we had an 80% chance of rain in the forecast, we were lucky because today it didn’t start raining until after noon and when it did, it was very light. Rick and I went into Vancouver to visit our Yaletown dentist, an appointment for Rick made necessary on Monday night by an unexpected broken tooth. Fortunately for Rick, it was a back tooth but it was one that had already had a root canal and crown on it. It was also not far enough in the back of his mouth to write it off and have it removed so it was a costly visit for us.

The nice thing was that the dentist’s office is across from where our condo is being built so it gave us an opportunity to see the progress made since we were there last. Buildings #1 and #2 are well underway, with finishing touches being done however, our building, #3, still has some work left. It isn’t scheduled for completion until next spring and based on the progress so far, the contractor will meet the deadline. Though we are still very undecided about whether or not we will ever reside there, everytime we go to Yaletown we get excited at the prospect. We aren’t prepared to give up our roaming lifestyle just yet so our options are to sell it, rent it out or use it as a home base when we are in BC. Decisions, decisions! (In the picture, building #1 is on the left, building #3 (ours) is in the front and #2 is on the far right.)

On our way back to Mission, we stopped at a Bell World store to look into getting new cell phones as ours are showing their ages. Our current plans allowed us to get free upgrades so I now have a snazzy blue one and Rick’s is a rubberized, almost indestructible one (perfect for him). We then headed home but not before stopping at Bruce’s Market where we bought some fresh spring salmon filets for the BBQ. We pulled in the driveway where we found one little boy sitting on the porch with his Mom, waiting for his two Buppa’s to come home and what a nice way to greeted!
