Before we learned of Monet’s pending birth, we had planned our summer to be completely different than it is. Initially we had planned to go to Mission for a month to visit with Ian, Karley and Makai and then we were going to explore some of the interior of BC, some of Alberta and finally head back to Ontario for the fall before going south once again. However, for obvious reasons, it became more important for us to spend the summer with the growing family and assist in whatever way we can. br>While Ian is home with Karley and the children this week we felt that it would be important for them to have some time alone to get used to their newest addition. We had hoped that the weather would be nice and warm so that we could go away on the bike and explore the Sunshine Coast of BC. However the forecast isn’t cooperating so today we decided to drive inland and explore some of the interior, as we had planned earlier, only instead of using the Moho or bike, we went by car. br>It was hard to leave Karley (she is still very exhausted, hence even more emotional than usual) and the family (we are already missing them terribly and I can see September becoming an extremely difficult month) but we headed out at 11:30 this morning. We stopped in Keremeos to buy some fresh fruit and bought the most incredibly flavourful organic cherries which we devoured. Tonight we are staying in a cute little B&B called the Salmon River Lodge in Armstrong with no internet access so my pictures will be minimal until Sunday when we plan to be back in Mission (if we can last that long away from our precious family). br>
