I have to say one of the best parts about living and traveling in a motorhome is meeting so many people from so many different walks of life. We have friends all across Canada and the US that we met while trekking back and forth across the continent. Our friendships are not limited to North Americans either; we’ve met folks visiting here from Australia, Belgium and Japan as well.
When we were in Indiana we forged a couple of really good friendships that we will continue with hopefully for a long time to come. The last Saturday that we were in Wakarusa, Brenda and Homer from the Scottish B & B dropped by the motorhome with a couple of foreign exchanges students attending the Notre Dame University in South Bend. Though they spoke very little English and we spoke no Japanese, somehow we were able to communicate. They were very intrigued by our Moho, the lifestyle we lead and the fact that we were Canadian.
Yesterday I received a thank you email from “Maki” (forgive me, I cannot remember the other lad’s name) along with a photograph he took of all of us together in the Moho. Here it is with Brenda and Homer in the back; along with their Japanese house guests and Rick and I.
