So yesterday we learned that with the paint issues that we need to have repaired, we were going to have to stay longer than initially anticipated. Last night we started to try and make plans with our extended stay here and looked forward to sleeping in this morning. Of course, now that we could sleep in, I couldn’t (big surprise) and I was awake at 5:30 again without the help of an alarm clock.

Around 10:30 this morning we learned that the paint shop in Bremen was already booked to the max and they wouldn’t be able to fit us in next week, making our stay here at least three weeks long. With Bill and Laura’s wedding rapidly approaching (May 12), we just couldn’t stay that long and we needed to reschedule. So the good news is that tomorrow we are heading to Cleveland to visit some friends and we will be back in Ontario by the weekend.

The bad news is we have to return here on May 15th for a couple of weeks to have the paint work done. Initially we had planned to stay in Ontario for four to six weeks before heading back to BC to close the condo deal, changing our province of residence and all the paperwork involved with the process. Now our Ontario visit has been drastically reduced. Once again there is a reason why we don’t make long range plans very often…we seldom get to see them through!
