We have to be in Wakarusa on January 12th to go to the Travel Supreme factory for some warranty work on the motorhome. Because of this, we only wanted to drive as far as we have to in order to get some "snow free" weather.

We thought we could get to Garrett where there was a year round resort, about six hours from Milton. However, once we got close and called them, their number was no longer working. Rick scoured the Passport America book and found a place that seemed close. It took us a lot longer to get there than we anticipated and we rolled into the Whitewater River Campground in Connorsville, Indiana in the dark and quickly set up camp.

Both the satellite Internet and the Bell ExpressVu wouldn't work. It was dark and we were too tired to figure out what was wrong so we watched a movie we previously taped and went to bed. In the morning when we got up, we looked around and discovered the source of our problem. We were parked right beside some huge trees directly in line with where the satellite dishes had to point.

We looked in a different book and found a campground that sounded really nice. We called them and they were open and only an hour and a half away. We headed out at 11:00 AM in gorgeous weather under sunny skies with mild temperatures enjoying the picturesque drive!

We are really doing this!
