Rick was up and out of bed early this morning to see if the car would start. It still didn't but at least it was here and it was daylight. Rick called his friend Juan Miletech at Eurohaus Auto in Alliston. Juan and his son John are the VW experts of Simcoe County. If anyone has a VW problem and doesn't want to pay the high prices a dealer charges, we highly recommend Juan. Having had several VW's over the years, we know of what we speak. Juan is honest, extremely knowledgeable and very reasonable. Anyway, over the phone, John was able to diagnose our problem and Rick was able to fix it himself.
We decided to head to The Indianapolis Motor Speedway known as the Racing Capital of the World. They have a museum there along with a huge racetrack. It featured all kinds of old and new race cars and trophies as well as several old motorcycles and sedans. After we explored the museum, we were able to go for a ride around the racetrack. It was originally built in 1909 as a place for car manufacturers to test their vehicles and it is HUGE! There is an 18-hole golf course built beside it with 14 holes outside the track and four inside! There is even a Grand Prix road course built on the inside field. There are Indy races, NASCAR races and Grand Prix races held there. I was certainly impressed and Rick was in his glory!
