What a treat it is to sleep with our windows open! We listened to frogs croaking and birds chirping while we enjoyed a slight breeze last night. It was 16C (61F), considered cool here but glorious to us. We woke up to an overcast day with rain in the forecast. When we first arrived last night, we didn't really check out the Bay Bayou RV Resort campground because it was getting dark and we just wanted to settle in. By the time we did have the opportunity to explore it, it was dark and of course we couldn't see much.

This morning we bicycled to the office to register as it was closed when we arrived yesterday. Because the site we stayed in last night had only 30-amp service we inquired about moving to a site closer to Gayle and Graham with 50-amp service. Luckily, there was a great one available, #219, until February 1st and it will work well for us so we moved. They are fully booked next month so we are lucky that we had planned to do some travelling in February.

There are two ponds, three immaculate shower rooms and three laundry rooms. They have a shuffleboard court, a new large rec. room, a bocce court, horseshoe pit and a beautiful pool. The other tenants are friendly, helpful and respectful of each other and the campgrounds. Most sites are rented out for a minimum of three months at a time and a lot are occupied for six months. The RV's range in size from small trailers to large fifth wheels and motor coaches. Visitors are here from Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, Oregon, Iowa, Texas, Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Hopefully tomorrow, we will have a chance to meet some of them!
