We woke up to overcast skies and a cool 10.5C (51F). This is NOT what we want in Florida, however the weather all over the US and Canada has been a little unusual this winter. The poor folks in the Canadian Maritimes have been digging out from a record winter storm last week and are going through another one now. Ontario is recovering from some extremely frigid temperatures in January and North Carolina has been receiving more snow in the past two days than ever before, so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. Tonight, the overnight low here is 1C higher than the overnight low in Barrie, Ontario which is now experiencing a warm spell! The Weather Network is calling for highs in the mid teens C (low 60'sF) for tomorrow with sunny skies, which will be much nicer for driving. We are hoping, now that we are heading over to Texas, that the temperatures start returning to the seasonal norms.

We are staying at the Oaks N' Pines RV Campground tonight at Lake City in north Florida. They are in the developing stages here and when it is all finished, I'm sure it will be a first rate campground. Lake City offers a variety of stores; a Wal-Mart, Sears, Publix (a grocery store), an Auto-Zone, tire stores, among many others and several restaurants but there are not many attractions for tourists. For us or any other transient visitors, it's a perfect place to stop for a night on our way to our next destination.
