The weather here this weekend has been outstanding. It rained for half a day on Saturday and for the rest of the weekend we have enjoyed sunshine and blue sky. In Vancouver, there are so many places to go to enjoy weather like this; False Creek, the UBC Endowment Lands, Kitsilano Beach, Stanley Park and English Bay, just to name a few. People were out in droves everywhere and we joined them.
Karley and Ian had some errands to run this morning so Rick and I went for a drive to UBC to see the University and all it has to offer. I can't imagine going to school there without getting lost. The campus is huge and the Endowment lands are gorgeous. There were people out walking, biking and driving around like we were, thoroughly enjoying the environment. Then we drove the car to False Creek where Rick left me with our bicycles while he drove back and picked up Karley and Ian and their bikes. From there we rode to Urban Fare, a wonderful healthful supermarket where we purchased a few items for a picnic. We then rode our bikes along the waterfront to English Bay where we set out our blanket and enjoyed a late lunch while we watched the hordes of people go by.
We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the weather and the entertainment. All in all it was a fabulous weekend!
