Helen is flying back to Ontario very early in the morning tomorrow so this afternoon she headed back to Vancouver. She has been a wonderful guest and it is hard to believe that she has been with us for two weeks already. We did a lot in a short time and enjoyed every minute of it but sadly; all good things must come to an end eventually.

Helen was taking a bus from Victoria because it goes on the ferry and then to the airport where she was meeting up with Ian who would take her to the hotel nearby. This way she doesn't have to lug her suitcase around as the bus service handles it. It also put us at ease by not having to worry about her struggling with heavy luggage by herself. We left for town by noon as the bus was leaving at 2:00PM and we wanted to walk around a little before she left. We walked around the Empress Hotel one of Victoria's most photographed attraction, then went for a quick snack before seeing Helen off.

After she left, Rick and I walked around the waterfront at the Inner Harbour to enjoy some of the artists and craftsmen displaying their work. It was a beautiful day and there were people everywhere. When we got back to the motorhome, it felt strange not to have our favourite "other" mother-in-law with us. We are going to miss you Helen! Kiss
