This morning we waited to hear from Campbell River Cable to find out when they would be coming to hook up our cable Internet. They called just after 9:00 AM to say someone would be here between 1:00 and 2:00 so we knew our day would be spent at the park. The weather is cloudy and cool so we don't feel like we are missing out on anything and it will give Rick perfect conditions to clean and polish the RV.
I used the opportunity to start researching for and working on one of my writing assignments as well as watching the number of other campers come and go. Finally at 3:45 PM, the cable guy arrived only to inform us that due to wiring issues at the park, the Internet is not available here, so I am currently trying to find an alternate way to access my "lifeline". For one thing, I am committed to maintaining our website with my daily ramblings but I also use the Internet to do our banking and our broadband phone requires either cable or satellite to work. On the upside, because I am forced to do without ready access I may be cured of my addiction to it by no longer having the means to surf it at random or to play web games, which I sometimes play excessively. I need to find a "happy medium" and no doubt my accessibility (or lack of) will teach me to find the balance I require.
So my friends, don't stop writing to us and know that when I do get back online, I will have daily entries to upload, though now it may be several at a time. I still write something daily and my photography will continue but the regularity will not be consistent at least until after September 14th. Please keep plugging into our site regularly until I can get back onto a permanent connection.
I thank you for your patience.
