A Great Day |

Last night after we got back from the airport with Helen, we went to Yaletown for dinner at Urban Thai. It was Helen and Laura's introduction to Thai food and neither of them are lovers of spicy food so we tried to be gentle with our choices. Unfortunately, one of the dishes we chose was spicier than expected and their first experience may not have been the best, so it is questionable if either of them will hurry to have Thai food again.
This morning we were in no rush to get going and so we enjoyed a leisurely morning at the motorhome before going over to the house. Karley had previously made plans to do some haircuts and visit with some friends while Ian babysat this afternoon so we took Helen, Bill and Laura to wander around Kitsilano. The sun was shining again today breaking an all-time record for February sunshine in Vancouver...a perfect day to stroll and shop. The weather brought out the crowds; all doing the same thing but it was still interesting and fun for all of us. After a full day of walking and browsing in the stores, we took a drive along the shoreline from Kitsilano towards the University of British Columbia. We were able to take some great pictures as the low-lying clouds settled on the water and by the time we reached UBC, they completely enveloped the area, obliterating the view altogether. As we drove away, within seconds we came out of the clouds and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on our return to the house where Karley was napping while Ian was minding Makai. The "kids" (Karley, Ian, Bill and Laura) were going out "clubbing" tonight so our evening was spent relaxing, watching TV and cuddling with Makai. Can it get any better?
