Rick has wanted a trailer right from the start but I resisted stating that it might limit the parks we can get into. From the responses we received on the forum, it should have little bearing on where we stay so I guess we'll find out for ourselves soon enough. A trailer makes the most sense now that we have the motorcycle.

Our motorhome is equipped with a 500 horsepower Cummins diesel engine and according to Rick and several other RVers it is more than capable of easily towing the trailer. He has always been concerned by the weight of the motorhome loaded with our belongings being too heavy. Now, we can lighten up the motorhome load by storing a few things (ladders, lawn furniture and bicycles) in the trailer along with the car and motorcycle. Interestingly enough, we probably won't see a big change in the fuel mileage both because there will be a more even distribution of weight, and the trailer should be fairly aerodynamic.

Today I coaxed Rick into joining me for a bike ride to Couchiching Park and back, my first since we went to Indiana. It was a perfect morning for it, sunny and 13C, just cool enough to make it enjoyable and warm enough to wear shorts. I took this picture of the Narrows as we crossed the Atherley Bridge and I thought Lake Couchiching couldn't have been more calm and mirror like. It was absolutely gorgeous!
