I have to say that crossing the country on wheels is a lot easier on the internal clock adjustment than flying. I am not having as much difficulty with staying awake as I am with staying asleep and I find myself wide awake at 4:00 AM regardless of what hour I go to bed. I know I will just nicely get used to the time change when we will be flying back east again.

Today we drove to Yaletown for dental check ups and to see how our condo development was progressing. We were surprised to see building #1, several stories high with some windows in place already. Even our building, #3, is above ground level and at this rate, it seems it will be completed well before the scheduled occupancy of May 2007. We noticed a flurry of construction, more obvious now, at every corner (or so it seemed), I suppose in preparation for the arrival of the Olympic Games in 2010. (Even the airport is expanding!)

Tonight Rick and I babysat Makai so that Karley and Ian could go out on a "date night". Before they left, Makai went to bed and the rest of our evening was spent watching TV and falling asleep on the couch. The little "munchkin" woke up once around 10:30 and after reintroducing him to his teddy, he promptly fell back to sleep not to be heard from again. It sure is a tough job being grandparents! Wink
