Yesterday, I spent the entire day on the couch feeling like I was literally hit by that proverbial truck I wanted the license plate number of. Like I didn’t feel bad enough, later I had the worst headache imaginable and nothing seemed to ease my pain. The good news is I was able to have a short nap in the morning and Rick gave me a Reiki treatment in the late afternoon, which gave me some relief.

I also slept really well (thanks to the Reiki) and this morning I woke up feeling much better with no headache but a bad case of laryngitis, something I don’t recall ever having before. In fact it is no exaggeration at all to say I am absolutely speechless which is something I think Rick is really enjoying.

Always a sweetie, he has taken me out of the park for a week to ensure I get lots of rest; no classes and no tutoring. We didn’t go far mostly because we are enjoying a really warm week (according to the forecast) and why would we want to leave it? SO here we are across the highway in a beautiful park in Indio. There are well over 800 sites, a nine-hole golf course, two pools, orange and grapefruit trees everywhere, a really nice exercise room, paved sites and the place is immaculate. Coincidentally enough, because we are not at Catalina, we have no broadband internet and consequently no phone. It makes me wonder if somehow Rick managed to put a hex on my throat!!
