Returning The Favour |

This morning it was even colder and more miserable outside than it was yesterday so swimming in the pool was out of the question and because it was also pouring with rain, so was using the Nordic Track. We’d heard that even San Diego was being blitzed with snow (yes, snow!) and I was wondering if somehow we had magically moved to BC overnight. As soon as our beautiful mountain view is cloud free I will post a picture of it so you can see just how close the snow actually is. It was warmer in Barrie, Ontario (10C or 50F) than it was here, 8C (or 46.4F) at noon! br>At 8:00 AM, Rick and Vern drove to Hemet, about 45 minutes southwest of here, and on their drive there they enjoyed snow-free weather however on their return, they encountered some light flurries in Beaumont, just west of here. Their purpose was to attend a woodcarving show which they found to be interesting, though not particularly informative and they were back in the park shortly after noon. Much of my day was spent troubleshooting computers for folks around the park while Rick created DVD’s for Sue. br>Our friends, Rich and Laura, have returned to Catalina for a week and this evening we joined them for dinner at a great Korean restaurant in Desert Hot Springs (our first encounter with Korean food). I had been scolding them for not keeping their BLOG updated and they gave me excuses about not being able to get onto the Internet. Well, I guess they were sick of my bitchin’ and tonight, with the help of a cable hook-up to our satellite internet, they finally posted. Their entry today is entitled “A Post for Susan” so here I am returning the favour! This post is for Laura and Rich and thanks guys for the introduction to Korean food, you can be sure we’ll be doin’ it again! br>I borrowed this picture of Laura and Rich from their website. It was taken during their last, much warmer visit here! br>
