Clearing out our bedroom of all our personal belongings was a huge task. Because we had been liquidating for 11 months, I thought it would only take a couple of hours, ha! We sorted through the stuff that would have to be stored, the stuff we would give to the kids and the stuff that was up for grabs. Because none of our other guest rooms had a TV in it, we removed the television and moved the furniture around. It was quite impressive when we were finished.

Jay and Rachel came up for the weekend and went home with a "new" bedroom suite. Because we were only registered as a three bedroom B & B, we emptied out one bedroom and converted it into a Reiki room. I still only gave treatments to friends and family but it was nice to have my table set up all the time in a designated room.

We had some friends come up for the Civic holiday weekend so they were the first people to use the "King Suite". It was really strange at first having someone else stay in "our" room but I was actually quite happy that the break-in period was with friends. The kids always wandered in our room over the past 20 years and Jay found himself standing in the dressing room when our friend, Scott walked in. It was a red-faced moment but the reality was starting to set in. All of these adjustments were preparing us for the day we would walk out the door for the last time.
