Surprisingly this morning we were actually ready to go and rolling down the highway by 8:30, pretty impressive for us. Considering we haven’t caught up on our sleep shortages from the weekend, I was very proud of our ability to get up at 6:00 AM. This week while we are at the Travel Supreme service center, unless we get to bed really early, catching up on lost sleep will be next to impossible, too. The drive here was good though once we were about three hours from our destination, the sky became ominously black and we were inundated with buckets of rain and brutally strong winds. We watched as the thermometer showed the temperature plummeting from 33°C (91°F) to 21°C (70°F) in less than 10 minutes, finally settling at 18°C (64°F). We were told by a toll booth operator that there were a few tornado sightings around some of the places we had driven through. Fortunately once again, we managed to dodge them! There were large signs knocked down, plenty of debris and heavy branches broken on the ground; evidence of the wind’s strength. So now we are in Wakarusa, Indiana (once again) where we will be for the next week (or so) while the paintwork is completed. With the improvements that Armand, from Tech Mobile in Lindsay, put on our two satellite systems (television and internet) we have way better reception and getting both signals has became so much quicker and easier. Driving here and changing locations was the big test for both systems and they passed with flying colours so we are very pleased. The picture here is to show you the colour of the sky just before we were blasted with the rain seen in the picture on the right. The positive thing about the rain was that the windshield, which was covered in bug splats one minute, was instantly cleaned the next!
