Biloxi is on the Gulf shores of Mississippi in the midst of a dozen casinos, 22 golf courses, over 200 restaurants and harbours full of shrimp boats and deep-sea fishing vessels. The beach, though man-made, is of white sand and is 26 miles long with plenty of free parking throughout. This is truly a great vacation destination with the dozens of RV parks, hotels, motels and B & B's to suit everyone's budget and for visitors looking for culture, entertainment, sports or just plain rest and relaxation.
This afternoon we drove around the area to get acquainted with our location and we stopped at Sharkhead Souvenir City to poke around and to get some postcards. They carried everything imaginable from fudge to clothing to knick-knacks to "live" hermit crabs. It was quite the store! From there we went to the "back bay" where we discovered, much to our surprise, a substantial population of Korean fishermen at the dozens of shrimp boats. On our way back home, we stopped at a local seafood restaurant for a quick meal of seafood chowder and a shrimp salad. We like it here!
