We are winding down our last week at Weir's Beach RV Park in Metchosin, so we are scrambling to tie up loose ends in preparation for our first move in two months. It is very easy to get complacent when you arrive somewhere and take the stance that you have two months to see and do everything. The problem is that the two months flies by and when you get into your final week you are shocked to discover that you have run out of time.

We didn't go to the museum, or the miniature village, or the other dozens of places we intended to visit. And we don't feel like running around trying to fit everything in for our last week. So we'll end up leaving here knowing that we left a lot of things undone and that we will have lots to do when we come back.

We are heading up to the Campbell River area for one month and then to Tofino for two weeks after that. From there, our options are open and we will either head back to Victoria or perhaps we will stay in Nanaimo, Comox or Ladysmith. That is the beauty of living this life... never having to be anywhere unless we want to be there. What we do know is that we will be in Vancouver for three months to help Karley and Ian with their upcoming addition starting in November. Our stay may begin sooner and end later...or not, but that is something we will decide as the time approaches. In the meantime, we will continue to prepare for our departure from here on Sunday with the knowledge that we will have lots to see and do whenever we are back.

This boat was anchored out from the beach here at Weir's Beach RV this morning, looking kind of "complacent"!
