We Are Moving On Again |

Today we are preparing to leave Campbell River because tomorrow we are heading to Tofino for two weeks. Tofino is on the west side of Vancouver Island and is famous for it's beaches, nature and surfing. Since last summer, when we were preparing for our vagabond lifestyle, I have felt Tofino calling me and it is a destination we are both looking forward to.
Our time here has been far better than we could have imagined, partly because we had no knowledge of Campbell River prior to coming here and had no expectations. We have found the reception to us warmer here than in Victoria and apparently other tourists have met with that too. This phenomenon is even written about in several articles we have read and in a great book called "The Canadian Chronicles". The funny thing is that the coldness we often felt from Victoria residents came from people who themselves moved there from other parts of Canada, not from the BC-born citizens. As you know from my ramblings to date, the beauty here is outstanding and there seems to be no limits on things to do. I am not sure if I will have Internet access at the campground we are staying at in Tofino so this could be my last posting until at least the 15th of September. I am hoping our time there will inspire me to start writing my short story again but mostly I am looking forward to seeing the beauty there. I will still journal daily though if I don't have Internet access, I won't be able to post until we have that availability again. Please check in every couple of days to see and know that if there are no postings that you'll have a lot to read at once in a couple of weeks.
