A Great Visit |

Jay's last day in Vancouver included a lunch with Karley, a tour of Ian's office and dinner and a movie with all of us at Karley and Ian's home. He has really enjoyed his time here and his surgical wound has healed well. He has been able to work out every other day at a nearby gym, without overdoing it and spent time resting and reading, perfect therapy for him right now. This side-trip has been ideal, removing him from the temptation to return to work too early and none of us want him to leave tomorrow. He has seen two different therapists while here, one an excellent European naturopath that Karley has been to several times. She analysed and measured his vitality and chemical balances in his body, giving him advice regarding vitamin supplements to keep him in optimum health. The other therapist is an Integrative Healer who works with his energy centres or chakras to get them in balance, another key to keeping his immune system strong. He is standing straighter now, barely limping and though there is still some discharge from his wound, there is no indication of infection. All in all, he will be returning to Ontario in much better physical condition than when he arrived. It wasn't a late night but it was nice for all of us to spend it together one last time this year. Jay's visit has not only been good for him but it has been great for Karley to spend some time with her brother. They have had some time to visit with each other sharing how their lives have changed and it has brought them closer together. The next time they will see each other, Karley will have a baby, a niece or nephew for Jay, and their lives will be different again. Jay's visit has been a perfect opportunity for all of us and we will miss him when he heads back to Markham tomorrow.
